How to set HP Printers

This document is for the following printers:

Unboxing:

Remove the printer from its packaging and ensure all the included accessories are present.

Power Connection:

Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

Ink/Toner Installation:

If your printer uses ink cartridges or toner cartridges, install them according to the instructions provided.

Paper Loading:

Load paper into the input tray or paper feeder. Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.

Initial Setup:

If your printer uses ink cartridges or toner cartridges, install them according to the instructions provided.

Connection Type:

Driver Installation:

Test Print:

Print a test page to ensure that the printer is set up correctly and printing properly.

Additional Features:

If your printer supports additional features such as scanning, faxing, or mobile printing, you may need to set up these features separately.

How to install initial set up

  1. Power on the printer and wait for it to initialize.
  2. If available, navigate through the on-screen menu using the printer's control panel or touchscreen.
  3. Locate the language settings option. This may be labeled as "Language", "Language & Region", or similar.
  4. Select your preferred language from the list provided. Use the arrow keys or touchscreen to scroll through the options.
  5. After selecting the language, find the region or country settings option. This could be listed under "Region", "Country", or similar.
  6. Choose your region or country from the list displayed. Again, use the navigation controls to browse through the options.
  7. Once you've set the language and region, proceed to the date and time settings. Look for an option labeled "Date & Time", "Clock", or similar.
  8. Enter the current date and time using the keypad or touchscreen. Follow the format specified on the screen (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY for date and HH:MM for time).
  9. Review the settings you've entered to ensure they are correct. Some printers may display a summary screen showing the language, region, date, and time you've selected.
  10. If everything looks good, confirm or save the settings according to the instructions provided on the screen.
  11. Follow any additional on-screen prompts or instructions to complete the initial setup process. This may include tasks such as connecting to a Wi-Fi network, installing ink or toner cartridges, or performing a test print.
  12. Once you've completed the initial setup, the printer may display a message indicating that setup is complete. At this point, you should be ready to use your printer for printing, scanning, copying, or other functions.
