Contact Fix a Printer: Corrections and Guide Suggestions

Use the form below to reach the Fix a Printer editorial team. It is the only way to contact us; we do not have a phone line.

What to write to us about

  • Corrections. A menu name changed in a Windows or macOS update, or a step did not work as described. Tell us your operating system version and what you saw on screen.
  • Suggestions. A printer error or symptom we have not covered yet.
  • Broken links. A link in a guide that no longer leads where it should, including links to Microsoft or Apple documentation in a guide’s sources.
  • Photo credits. If you are the creator of a photo on this site and something in the credit is wrong.

Before you write: find your guide

Most questions already have an answer on the site. The printer troubleshooting guide lists every guide by symptom, and the site search finds guides by the words you see on screen, such as an error code. Some of the most used guides are:

How to report a correction

A good report lets us check and fix a guide quickly. Please include:

  1. The address of the guide, or its title.
  2. The step that did not work, and what happened instead.
  3. Your operating system and version (for example Windows 11 or the macOS version), and your printer model if the step depends on it.
  4. The exact wording of any message or menu you saw.

We check corrections against current Microsoft and Apple documentation and the printer behaviour described in our sources, then update the guide and its date when a change is needed.

What we cannot do

Fix a Printer is an independent guide, not a support service. We cannot take remote control of your computer, repair printers, sell parts or ink, or handle warranty claims. For those, use the manufacturer’s own support channels, which you can find on the manufacturer’s website.

Be careful with anyone who contacts you offering printer support after you searched for help online, or with pop-ups showing a support phone number. We will never ask you for payment, passwords or remote access.

What not to send

Please do not include passwords, product keys, payment details, Wi-Fi passwords or remote-access codes in a message. We never need them to answer a question about a guide. A screenshot description or the exact error text is enough.

How we use your message

We use your name, email and message only to reply to you and to improve the site. Details are in our privacy policy. The disclaimer explains what our guides can and cannot do.

Frequently asked questions

Can Fix a Printer fix my printer for me?

No. Fix a Printer is an independent guide, not a support or repair service. We cannot connect to your computer, visit you or handle repairs. Use the step-by-step guides, and for warranty service contact the maker of your printer through the details on its own website.

Is there a phone number for Fix a Printer?

No. We do not run a phone line, and the contact form on this page is the only way to reach us. If you see a phone number presented as Fix a Printer support anywhere, it is not ours.

What should I include when I report a mistake?

The address of the guide, the step that did not work, your operating system and version, your printer model if it matters, and the exact wording you saw on screen. That lets us check the step against current Microsoft or Apple documentation.

Do you answer every message?

We read every message and reply when a reply is needed, for example when we need more detail about a correction. Suggestions for new guides may simply appear on the site later.
